This collection of aerial photography includes current views of the construction of the new east span of the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge and historical views of the bridge. The collection features extensive, detailed, aerial views of the complex construction techniques used in building the new span of the bridge, beginning with the first stages of the construction and concrete pouring, the stages which have contributed to cost over runs, the cranes, barges and other tools used for the construction, and the platforms used for this long term project. The collection contains extensive documentation of the progress of the construction of the San Francisco Oakland Bay bridge over time.
